As I entered early adulthood and eventually motherhood, I was committed to raising healthy children. Influenced by my family history of diabetes, I prioritized balanced nutrition and regular outdoor exercise. We ate home-cooked meals made from fresh, whole ingredients. My kids spent very little time indoors watching television or playing on electronic devices. I wanted health and wellness to be a legacy I passed on to my kids.
The devastating impact of COVID-19, motivated me to bring awareness to others and encourage them to prioritize self-care, nutrition, and exercise. As a hobby, I began sharing tips via social media on how to create a healthy lifestyle- then things took off. This led to the birth of the Intuit Knowledge brand.
At this phase of my life, prioritizing health and wellness is a lifestyle. My dedication to health and wellness has not only benefited my own family, but also inspired me to impact the lives of others. Intuit Knowledge has now reached over 54,000 people via social media.
I was born, raised, and partially educated in Jamaica. From birth, I was nourished with wholesome grown foods grown. Food often came from our own backyard, literally. I recall quite vividly, my dad bringing fresh watermelons, papayas, and a wide array of other fruits and vegetables to the kitchen. They were often cooked, juiced or eaten raw.
